Flushed a Friend

We lost a friend yesterday and I had to flush him down the toilet. Blanca gave the boys two goldfish for Halloween 2005 and to my great surprise they survived for over a year. Yesterday I went to feed them and one (either Sam or Dylan - the boys named them) was floating. I tried to get Mark to help me with the disposal but he left the dirty deed in my hands.

I haven't told the boys yet. I'm not sure how to begin the conversation. We were watching the Arrival of President Ford yesterday and Sam was asking a lot of questions but our little fishy was a friend so I think it will be a bit more upsetting.

Anyway, I know it's been long time since my last post and this is not a really exciting topic but it is a bit of our lives and I'm just going to try to write little snipets.

More 2006 observations to come...

PS - I'm ringing in the New Year with my three guys and I couldn't be happier. Dylan and Sam are going to bed in a few minutes and then Mark and I will have our dinner and hang out for the night. I've had crazier New Year's Eves in my past but I wouldn't trade what I have now for anything!!
